Mark Richardson
Managing Director

Mark has over 16 years of experience in the meetings and conventions industry. After gaining formal qualifications in hotel management, his experience includes working with international chains including Accor Hotels and Hyatt Hotels in event operation positions and senior sales and marketing roles.

The launch of Conference Works in 2002 saw the business quickly establish itself as a successful, well managed and client focused event management agency. Mark is strongly focused on exceeding client expectations. His oversight of all aspects of the business and his availability to clients at all times is a cornerstone of Conference Works success.

Conference Works specialises in managing events both nationally and internationally with event budgets running into AUD millions and delegate numbers ranging from 100 to 4500.

Always operationally focused, Mark is known for his hands-on approach with clients and event programs and is intrinsically involved in building conference frameworks, strategic roadmaps, setting up evaluation and return models, producing risk management plans, managing procurement processes, contract negotiations and building event budgets.

Tim studied in fine-art before following up his passion for design, art-direction and development. A self-confessed geek, he loves everything related to creative design, digital media, the web and its technologies.

Tim’s focus is to design and build solutions which are creative and provide an enjoyable user experience.

Julie Austin
Event Coordinator

Julie is a relative newcomer to Event Management, having previously pursued a career in the health industry. Julie’s role at Conference Works sees her closely working with the Event Producers, providing general and administrative support.

Lynda Alexander

Lynda has extensive experience in the hospitality, events, conference and incentive industry  and has successfully delivered conferences, travel rewards and events both within Australia and overseas.

Always focusing on producing the best outcome for her clients Lynda ensures the seamless delivery of any project that she is involved with and has delivered events for prestigious blue-chip companies across a broad range of industries including automotive, manufacturing and the retail spheres.

Lucy Dear
Event Producer

Lucy has a passion for event management, which stems from her naturally organised and methodical nature. Prior to joining Conference Works, Lucy spent 3 years at a not-for-profit organisation, undertaking event and project management. Working at a not-for-profit allowed for a strong understanding of team work and budgeting.

Having been at Conference Works since January 2011, Lucy is enjoying applying her natural planning skills to her role at the company. She completed a Bachelor of Business (Tourism &Hospitality) in 2007 and has attended various seminars and short courses for event management in the not-for-profit sector.

Cathy King
Book Keeper

Cathy has been in the accounting field for the past 22 years. She was trained on the job by accountants William Buck and worked in the accounting industry servicing her own clients for 8 years before having children.

She gained a vast experience of knowledge working on many different businesses giving her the flexibility to undertake any bookkeeping/accounting role within any industry.
